Composition of kit: •Brucellosis antigen - liquid for RBT, is a suspension in a buffer saline of inactivated brucella strain: Brucella abortus, biovar 1, Weybridge, strain S 99, format – 20.0 ml - 3 vials. •Positive bovine serum - lyophilized, is the blood serum of bovine producers, hyperimmunized by the culture of brucella strain: Brucella abortus, biovar 1, Weybridge, strain S 99, format – 1.0 ml – 4vials. • Negative bovine serum - lyophilized, is the blood serum of bovine (healthy), format – 1.0 ml - 4vials. Indication: Kit «Rose Bengal Test» (RBT) for use in the serological diagnosis of infections caused by Brucella melitensis and Brucella abortus in animals by examining blood serum in plate agglutination test in cattle, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, camels and deer. RBT principle is based on simple spot agglutination test using antigen stained with Rose Bengal in a buffer solution with pH 3.65 ± 0.05 (Morgan et al., 1969). The kit can be used for testing 2000 samples of blood serum from cattle, horses, camels or 4000 samples of small cattle, deer and pigs Calibrated on the OIEISS International Brucella standard serum, to be positive against a 1\45 dilution and negative against a 1\55 dilution, as per the European directive CEE 64/4323 (ЕС) and OIE requirements.
